My Original Character

This original character of mine, named Eleina, has survived all my art phases. I knew when I wanted to create a 3D model of a character, it had to be the one who started my art journey. I took the time to get a bust drawing of Eleina to use as a reference. I decided to use 3Ds Max to bring her to life. After watching a lot of references, I was able to get the base of her head, which I was pleasantly surprised by how well it turned out from my little experience of 3D modeling people/characters. Her hair was the trickiest part of this project. I took inspiration from a video of someone modeling hair on a character and using planes as the fundamental base of it. I also remember studying hair on a character from a 3D animation show with a similar style, so I committed to it to the end, and I am happy with how Eleina turned out overall. I can’t wait to bring the rest of my characters to life.
